Pet’s while entering into their golden years require special attention.  At RVVS, we can provide options for care for these unique needs of your family pet.

Our senior pets have special needs as they age. To address these needs we recommend performing twice yearly wellness exams. This detects aging related problems early. Annual blood screening reveals internal organ or metabolic changes early when treatment is more effective. Treating dental disease continues to be very important in our older pets, so a full oral exam will be performed and a dental cleaning scheduled if needed. Vaccines, nutrition, and parasite prevention will be discussed based on your pet’s individual lifestyle needs.

Here’s what to expect during your puppy’s wellness exams:

First Wellness Exam

  • Physical Exam
  • Blood screening
  • Internal organ or metabolic changes
  • Treat dental disease
  • Full oral exam
  • Dental cleaning scheduled if needed
  • Vaccines, nutrition, and parasite prevention

Second Wellness Exam

During second wellness exam after six months, we repeat all the tests taken before six months which are as follows:

  • Physical Exam
  • Blood screening
  • Internal organ or metabolic changes
  • Treat dental disease
  • Full oral exam
  • Dental cleaning scheduled if needed
  • Vaccines, nutrition, and parasite prevention
